Sally-ann Baker (Founding Director)

Founding Director. Sally-ann (MA Cantab, MSc, PGCE),has worked in education/ training sector for over 25 years, including in senior operational positions, has over 10 years bid-writing experience and now leads bid-writing strategy. Her main expertise is the Skills Funding Agency, ESF and Local Authority including GLA. She has both won and managed £multimillion contracts for these funding streams.

Bernard Dainton (Project Manager)

Both an excellent administrator and a seasoned bidwriter, Bernard’s role is to manage all aspects of Bidright’s service, to ensure that clients get what they pay for, consultants get paid for what they do, and everything runs smoothly. Bernard has 15+ years experience in the social sector, including experience of both business development and operational management; and 4½ years experience of running his own Business Development Consultancy. He has experience of writing bids for a wide variety of clients – ranging from FE Colleges to small 1-2 person charities – in a number of different fields, including skills, welfare-to-work, health, criminal justice and youth work. He holds both a BSc and an MA.

Robin Clarkson (Lead Consultant)

Specialist consultant in EU/UK funded sectors with an extensive 15 year successful track record in winning and delivering contracts across Skills, Employment, Youth & Enterprise programmes.

1) Business Development i.e. Strategic planning; business growth, delivery innovation, tender & bid writing, supply chain procurement, partnership formation; prime development. Involved or individually won over £50million in direct and subcontracts including most recently:

  • SFA – ESF (2007-2014); Adult Skills Budget (Train to Gain) inc. Traineeships/ Apprenticeships;
  • EFA – Youth Contract; ESF Addressing Gaps in Education; Study Programme

Corinna Frost (Consultant)

Corinna’s experience spans both the public and private sectors with roles encompassing business development, bid writing and project managing successful contract roll-out.  Bid management roles within the higher education and the welfare to work sector have provided invaluable experience of writing (and winning) bids to deliver major multi-million pound contracts.

Corinna has also been involved with the selection of supply chain partners for a number of contracts in line with Merlin standards. Corinna holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA). Corinna particularly specialises in the following sectors: skills, education and training, welfare to work, business support services, transport, health, security, and cleaning.

Mia Wylie (Consultant)

Mia is our Education, MIS and Quality specialist.  As Head of MIS, she is highly experienced in Adult Skills, Employer Responsive, DWP, EFA and Apprenticeship government contracts as well as Contracts and Quality Management, as well as effectively dealing with MIS and funding issues, auditors, setting and monitoring quality procedures, managing Admin, external partners, helping to optimise curriculums, complaints and IAG teams. She has expert knowledge of Maytas and PICs database and its reporting and extensive experience of introducing / maintaining / achieving quality accreditations within the business: Matrix, Investors in People etc.

A Project Manager with strong experience in delivering global educational and financial projects from inception through to implementation, using Prince 2 methodology, she has 8 years experience in the City of London, and 9 in the charity/education world.

Jill Basford (Administrator)
A business process orientated PMO Quality Manager with extensive experience in supporting Projects within challenging environments, Jill uses her ability to implement and support programmes of work to support our consultants deliver services for their clients.  Jill is a qualified ISO9000 Assessor (IQA) and holds a BEC National Certificate in Business Studies with Distinction.

Stuart Pyle

Stuart has worked in the life-long learning sector since 1995 and has a track record of winning successful tenders on behalf of private providers, colleges, third sector and consortiums with Training and Enterprise Councils, Learning and Skills Council, Skills Funding Agency, Department for Work and Pensions, Local Authorities, European Social Fund, NHS, MOD, MOJ, and College and private training provider prime contract holders.

Stuart is a dynamic innovator always able to ask the critical question to promote real thought. He is an MBA with a track record for developing talent management systems and strategies in a diverse range of industries.

At 23 Stuart was a finalist in young business person of the year, an accolade he achieved from setting up and operating several successful businesses in training, logistics, and recruitment sectors, the entrepreneurial arena was the crucible that honed his own leadership skills, as he quickly realised that successful businesses need successful leaders, and leadership success is defined by culture and behaviour patterns of the team.

Following the sale of his own recruitment and training businesses he started working as a management consultant, specialising in business modelling, corporate planning and bid writing. Stuart is well versed in Quality Assurance having project managed the successful implementation of SAR and QIP, Matrix, ISO9001, 14001, 18001, 27001 and a range of other Quality Management Systems.

Stuart is a qualified ILM Trainer, Assessor and Leadership Coach delivering leadership programmes from team leading right up to up to director level 7 strategic management qualifications.  Stuarts forte is performance management through effective talent development strategies and support in the development of more effective organisational behaviours and work place cultures, both within the UK and Switzerland for clients including Experian, Gist, BMI, and A4E as well as within the public sector for the Department for Work and Pensions and Southend Hospital.

When not improving talent management he can be found snowboarding on the mountains of Europe, diving with sharks, or camping just spending time with his wife and twin girls.
